Privacy policy
Last updated 20 September 2026
This policy covers youareinvited.app and the invitations we deliver. It explains what we collect, why, and what we do not do with it.
Information we collect
When you enquire
If you contact us or use the enquiry form, we collect what you choose to send: your name, WhatsApp number, email address, wedding date, functions, approximate guest count and anything you write in the message. We use it to reply to you and to prepare a quote.
When we design your invitation
To build the invitation we need the wedding details you give us: names, dates, venues, timings and any notes for guests. We use them only to create and deliver your invitation.
When someone visits the website or opens an invitation
We use analytics to understand how the site and invitations are used, for example which pages guests reach and whether they finish the invitation. This covers general technical information such as device type, approximate location derived from an IP address, referring website and pages viewed. We do not use it to identify individual guests, and we do not ask guests to sign in or give us their details.
If you arrive through an advertisement or a campaign link, we record which campaign it was, so we know which ones are worth continuing.
Session recordings
We may record interactions with an invitation, including screen activity and interactions, to understand how invitations are experienced across different devices and browsers and to improve their design and reliability. We do not use these recordings to identify individual guests. On invitations, your wedding’s details are masked before the recording leaves the device, so what we see is the layout rather than the wording.
How your information is used
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote
- To design, deliver and support your invitation
- To take payment and keep records of it
- To understand how our website and invitations are used, in aggregate
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information, or a guest’s, to anyone
- We do not publish our customers’ names or their invitations
- We do not send marketing to your guests, and we never collect their contact details
- We do not store card or bank details ourselves
Who else handles it
We use a small number of established service providers to run the business, and they only receive what they need to do their part:
- Hosting: to serve the website and your invitation
- Analytics: to measure how pages are used
- Email: to deliver enquiry notifications and correspondence
- Payments: our payment provider handles your card or bank details directly; we never see or store them
- Advertising measurement: on this website only, so we can tell which advertisements bring people here. It is never loaded inside an invitation
Invitation privacy
Invitations are accessible through the links we provide. They are not listed, searchable or indexed by search engines. Link previews carry no dates or personal details, so forwarding a link does not expose those details in the preview.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details are kept while we are in conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards. Wedding details and delivered invitations are kept so we can support and restore them if needed. Records of payments are kept as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, other than records we must keep.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to connect@youareinvited.app and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If you would like your invitation taken offline after the wedding, tell us and we will remove it.
Cookies and similar technology
We use a small amount of browser storage to remember practical things: whether an invitation’s music was muted, and which campaign brought you to the site. Blocking it will not stop an invitation working.
